Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal data this site collects, what it is used for, how long it is kept and what rights you have over it.

Who handles your data

Data collected through this site is handled by Bruno Cristo, reachable at brunocristo55@gmail.com, from Madeira, Portugal.

What is collected

Only what you type into the contact form: name, email, message and, if you choose to give them, company, project type and expected budget. The server also briefly records the IP address of the request, solely to rate-limit abusive form submissions.

What it is used for

Solely to answer your enquiry and, if we go ahead, to prepare a proposal. Your data is not sold, not shared with third parties for commercial purposes, and never used for marketing or newsletters.

Legal basis

Processing rests on the pre-contractual steps you request by getting in touch (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Briefly retaining the IP address rests on the legitimate interest in protecting the form from abuse (Article 6(1)(f)).

How long it is kept

Messages stay in the mailbox for as long as they are needed to handle your enquiry and to keep a record of our dealings. You can ask for deletion at any time and it is done, no questions asked. The IP record used for rate limiting is discarded after one hour.

Who else is involved

The site is hosted on Vercel and form messages are delivered by email through Google (Gmail). Both act as processors and may process data outside Portugal under the European Union standard contractual clauses. There are no other recipients.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses no advertising, analytics or social media cookies, and carries no tracking tools of any kind. Only your language preference is stored, so the site opens in the language you chose — it is strictly necessary and therefore needs no consent.

Your rights

You can request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, or object to processing altogether. Write to brunocristo55@gmail.com and you will have an answer within 30 days.

Complaints

If you believe your data is not being handled properly, you can complain to the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), the Portuguese supervisory authority, at www.cnpd.pt.
